What we look for

The HTML of these pages holds more than one canonical tag (the line naming a page's preferred address).

Why it matters

If the tags name different addresses, search engines ignore them all and choose the version to show themselves.

How to fix

Remove the extra canonical tags so each page has one, in the page template or the SEO plugin that adds them. This often happens when a theme and a plugin both add one.

What it cannot know

Raptor counts the tags but does not check whether they name the same address.

Where you’ll see it

The id is stable, and every surface uses it, so it’s the thing to search for or hand to an agent.

Terminal
When it is one of the five findings under Fix first, raptor crawl prints the id under it.
Check: canonicals.multiple_conflicting
crawl.json and the CSV

The HTML report

MCP
