What we look for
No other crawled page links to these pages, counting links to old addresses that forward here and ignoring links a page makes to itself. The crawl's start page is never flagged.
Why it matters
Search engines find and judge pages through links, so a page nothing links to is found late, revisited rarely and treated as unimportant.
How to fix
Link to each page from a related page or a menu, with words that say what it is about. If a page is no longer needed, remove it from the sitemap (the file that lists your pages for search engines) and send its address to a live page with a 301 redirect (a permanent forwarding rule).
What it cannot know
'Orphan' means nothing in this crawl links here. A link from a page Raptor did not crawl would not count.
Where you’ll see it
The id is stable, and every surface uses it, so it’s the thing to search for or hand to an agent.
