Double slash in address

What we look for

The path of these addresses (the part after the domain) holds two slashes in a row (//).

Why it matters

A double slash is usually a mistake in how links are built, and many servers show the same page with or without it, which makes duplicate addresses.

How to fix

Find the template or link that adds the extra slash and remove it. Then send each double-slash address to the single-slash one with a 301 redirect (a permanent forwarding rule).

Where you’ll see it

The id is stable, and every surface uses it, so it’s the thing to search for or hand to an agent.

Terminal
When it is one of the five findings under Fix first, raptor crawl prints the id under it.
