What we look for

These pages have fewer than 100 words of visible text, counting menus and footers.

Why it matters

A page with little text gives search engines little to understand and rank, and may be judged low in value. Pages such as contact forms and galleries can be short on purpose.

How to fix

Add useful text to pages that should rank, such as what the page offers and answers to common questions, or merge thin pages into a fuller one with a 301 redirect (a permanent forwarding rule).

Seen in a real crawl

It also fired on Millbrook Hardware and the js-heavy fixture.

Where you’ll see it

The id is stable, and every surface uses it, so it’s the thing to search for or hand to an agent.

Terminal
