What we look for
These page titles (the headline shown in search results and browser tabs) are narrower than 200 pixels in Raptor's estimate of how Google draws them. Only pages search engines may list are counted.
Why it matters
A narrow title uses little of the space search results give it, which usually means it leaves out words that would help searchers choose the page.
How to fix
Expand each title in the CMS or page template to say what the page offers, for example the product or service and the place.
What it cannot know
Width is Raptor's estimate in the font Google uses on desktop. The real cut-off varies with the device and the letters used.
Seen in a real crawl
From a crawl of Millbrook Hardware (the broken fixture), a test site from Raptor’s fixture suite.

Where you’ll see it
The id is stable, and every surface uses it, so it’s the thing to search for or hand to an agent.
