What we look for
These pages have more than one H1 heading (the main heading at the top of a page). Only pages search engines may list are counted.
Why it matters
Several main headings make it less clear what the page is mainly about. Google has said several H1 headings cause it no problems, so this is a tidy-up rather than a fault.
How to fix
Keep one H1 for the page's main topic and change the others to H2 or lower, in the CMS or page template. Logos and side panels marked up as H1 are a common source.
Where you’ll see it
The id is stable, and every surface uses it, so it’s the thing to search for or hand to an agent.
